Remember, emergency services are only a phone call away and are trained to manage severe bleeding.
Significant blood loss reduces the amount of oxygen reaching the brain and vital organs. In serious incidents, such as road crashes or major trauma, blood loss can be rapid. When large volumes of blood are lost, shock is likely to developand must be managed promptly.
