F — Face: Ask the person to smile. Is one side drooping?

A — Arms: Ask them to raise both arms. Is one arm weak or drifting down?

S — Speech: Is their speech slurred, confused or unusual?

T — Time: Call 111 immediately.

A stroke is a medical emergency. Call an ambulance for any person showing stroke signs, even if the symptoms improve or disappear.

Note the time symptoms began or when the person was last known to be well.
