
….open. When a person is unconscious but breathing normally, placing them into the recovery position helps keep the airway open and reduces the risk of choking.
To place someone safely into the recovery position:
Straighten the arm closest to you and place it above their head or out to their side.

Bend the knee furthest away from you.

Place the hand of the furthest arm against their cheek nearest you and hold it in place.

Grasp the bent knee and gently pull it toward you, allowing the body to roll naturally onto their side.

Continue to monitor their condition closely, as it can change rapidly.

REMEMBER: We only move a person if their life is in danger, if we must leave them to call 111, or if we need to treat others.
