Tell someone where you’re going, who’s with you, and when you expect to return.
Stay on marked tracks and respect the environment – don’t disturb plants or wildlife.
Use the provided cleaning stations to protect native flora and fauna.
Check weather forecasts and be prepared for sudden changes.
Wear weatherproof clothing, sturdy footwear, layers, a hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent.
Carry at least 2 litres of water per person, food, a rubbish bag, a torch, matches, a first aid kit, and a phone.
For remote areas, carry a personal locator beacon.
