
To manage a nosebleed:
- Sit the person down
- Lean them forward
- Pinch the soft part of the nose, just below the bony bridge
- Maintain pressure for 10 minutes without checking
On hot days, pressure may need to be maintained for up to 20 minutes.
Call 111 if:
- Bleeding lasts longer than 20 minutes
- The nosebleed follows a head injury
