….. failure to treat low blood glucose levels will likely be detrimental to the person’s overall health. If the levels are low, improvements in their condition should be seen relatively quickly. If left untreated, low levels can lead to unconsciousness and in some cases death.
DO NOT give insulin. It can be dangerous especially if the person’s blood glucose levels are low.
Even if the person’s condition improves, medical advice should still be sought. The person may relapse at any time.
