A head injury has taken place, but you are unsure about the severity of the damage occurring. If at all concerned or unsure, seek medical advice immediately.
A person gets up quickly, apparently uninjured after banging their head, whether on the sports field, at a traffic incident or following a violent act, should be monitored closely. If any of the conditions in the list below are evident, then medical advice should be sought. The following is a checklist for when medical assistance should be sought urgently following a head injury occurring.
