Today we are talking about delivering five back blows to an adult/child with severe airway obstruction. Below are two images showing the position and practice for applying back blows.

A quick recap establish the person is choking. If the obstruction cannot be cleared as is described above, resulting in severe airway obstruction, give up to five back blows.
