…..hands towards you (see images). The speed and delivery of the chest thrusts are similar to CPR but given at a slower rate, and the thrust is more distinctive. The purpose is to dislodge the obstruction with one thrust, so always check to see if this has been successful between thrusts.
As long as the person remains conscious and the obstruction remains, continue repeating five chest thrusts to five back blows until the desired result is achieved or the person becomes unconscious.
