…..on them advising the user of the correct placement. You are directed to place one on the right side of the chest just below the man’s collar bone. The other is attached on the left side of his body, just below the armpit.
Where a female is large-breasted, it is acceptable to place the left pad to the left side to avoid breast tissue.
Before applying AED pads, remove any medication patches. Wipe the site to assist the adhesion of the AED pad. Do not place pads over the top of internal devices. It is recommended that a defibrillator pad is set a minimum of 8 centimetres away from any device.
