People who are overweight or obese are also more likely to be adversely affected by high temperatures leading to heat-related illness. People taking drugs that affect body temperature regulation are also more likely to experience the condition. Another common area for concern is unventilated buildings and locked cars; the temperature inside the vehicle on a hot day will become life-threatening very quickly. Babies and dogs are reported far too frequently to find themselves in this type of situation.
