…..dressing, then collect any detached body parts. Place them in a plastic bag where available, try to retain some air in the bag to afford some extra protection to the body part. If available, place the first bag into a second filled with ice or cold water. A bowl or bucket to put the ice in would also be suitable.

Seal and label the bag writing the person’s name, the hospital they are going to, and the name of the severed item, ensure the person travels with the body part.
