It is not unusual for people to worry after taking part in a medical emergency. It is the case, especially when the incident has involved the application of CPR. A first responder may never find out the outcome of the person’s wellbeing once they have left the scene. There may also be a personal questioning of the actions taken. Did I do it right? Did they die because I did it wrong? The answer is simple. No, they did not die because of the first responder’s actions. We will explore this concept in more detail in a few days and look at some of CPR’s myths that have evolved.
Today’s tip if you are involved in a medical emergency do not be shy of talking to someone about how it has made you feel.
