……assessments to allow as many people as possible the chance to obtain a fully recognised first-aid certificate. We make a donation to the First Aid for All Charitable Trust from the assessment fees, which supports a range of community projects for non-for-profit organisations. One of the primary projects is the placement of 24/7 available community defibrillators. Saving Lives Together is about sharing.

So today, we ask for your help. Would you please share the link below with family and friends. It will allow them access to learn first aid for FREE. They will also have the choice to complete a subsidised assessment if they want to (no pressure at all from us). In addition, for each person that completes an assessment, we will donate ten dollars towards the cost of placing another community defibrillator (see below).

SAVING LIFES TOGETHER

Here are a few images of what learning first aid can achieve. First, the presentation of a new AED for Surf Lifesaving in Christchurch was funded solely through the Saving Lives Together initiative. Then just a sample of the food parcels delivered by Kindercare to families over Christmas and again supported through their staff team completing First Aid courses. And finally, a presentation to a community member (who had been in New Zealand for just eighteen months) recognising his efforts in saving a friend’s life using both a defibrillator and CPR . Victor had recently completed his first aid course. We are very proud to support and help and, with your help, will continue to do so.

Tomorrow is our final look at defibrillators and we are myth busting…..
