Adult/Child: Stand behind person, support across the chest, give up to 5 back blows between the shoulder blades:

Child back blows should be consistent with the size of the child.

If the item has not been dislodged then deliver 5 chest thrusts: Standing behind the person place a closed fist into the centre of the chest, thumb side in

place your other hand over the fist

and deliver up to 5 chest thrusts pulling your fist inwards against their chest. Repeat with 5 back blows and 5 chest thrusts until the item has been cleared.
