The CPR standards that we work with are reviewed every five years. It may feel like the guidelines are forever changing, but this is not the case. When changes occur and what you are taught is different from a previous course you have undertaken. It is due to a process where change is based upon published international scientific evidence, and each country then decides upon which changes they wish to adopt into their guidelines. We expect the next updates in New Zealand to be announced later this year. As soon as they become available, they will feature in the Tip of the Day 365.
