An obstructed airway can result in a partial or complete blockage. Both can be frightening and life-threatening. The most commonplace for choking to occur is believed to be at the meal table. Unfortunately, we do not have reliable figures of how many people experience choking as the obstruction is often cleared and not reported.
Well done, New Zealand. The alert levels are going in the right direction again. Back to work for many today, please remember the Monday Mission and check those first aid kits and AED’s to ensure they are emergency ready for the coming week.
