Be aware there may also be other injuries present. Treat bleeding as a priority by applying direct pressure to the site of any wound. Place the person into a position of comfort, listen to what they are telling you. Where arms or legs are injured, support them using cushions or the like and try to minimise movement where possible. Monitor the person for changes in their condition and offer reassurance.
