Continue flushing for at least 20 minutes, and longer if irritation continues.
For chemical exposure to the eyes:
• hold the eye open
• flush continuously with water
• tilt the head so contaminated water flows away from the other eye
Call 111 if the burn is serious.
Contact the National Poisons Centre – 0800 POISON (0800 764 766) for advice.
Never attempt to neutralise chemical burns with other chemicals.
