New Zealand First Aid Revalidation Certificate

(Refresher)

Course Description

A New Zealand First Aid Revalidation Certificate course does not have unit standards attached to it. Unit standards are for life. The purpose of a revalidation course is to maintain currency and demonstrate competency.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course the learner will be able to demonstrate;

  • That they have retained knowledge from their previous course and applied it in a practical scenario.
  • Received any industry training updates such as changes from the New Zealand Resuscitation Council Guidelines for Resuscitation.
  • Demonstrated their physical ability to still be able to perform tasks such as CPR and obstructed airway management.

Certification

In order to obtain a New Zealand First Aid Revalidation Certificate certificate, a learner must hold a current workplace certificate (unit standards 6400, 6401 and 6402). This certificate must be presented at the course and to be valid no more than two years and three months old. We are unable to refresh certificates older than this.
